At the Faculty of Technology, we’re committed to empowering educators and inspiring students to explore the exciting world of engineering, computing, mathematics, and physics. Through interactive workshops, guest lectures, and hands-on STEM activities, we provide schools and colleges with engaging learning experiences that bring technology to life.

We offer free sessions in which students discover the creative and problem solving nature of technology, and see how it fits in with the world around them. These sessions are designed to enrich a school or college curriculum, challenge preconceptions about technology, and give students a more informed opinion of the varied and exciting opportunities they could find in areas such as engineering, design, computing or physics.

Recent sessions have included:

  • STEM Workshops & Demonstrations – Designed to spark curiosity and deepen understanding of key technological concepts.

  • Campus Visits & Taster Days – Give KS5 students a firsthand experience of university life and future career pathways.
  • Teacher CPD & Resources – Supporting educators with the latest developments in STEM education and teaching strategies.

By collaborating with schools and colleges, we aim to bridge the gap between education and industry, ensuring students are equipped with the skills and knowledge to thrive in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

If you'd like more information about our outreach offerings, or you're interested in taking part in one of our sessions (either at the University or in your school/college), please get in touch.
